Fastbraces/Traditional Braces

Fastbraces® get results in a fraction of the time of traditional braces

Traditional braces are an effective way to straighten teeth for cosmetic and health reasons. However, they can sometimes take years to get results. Fastbraces® have changed the way teeth are straightened. Getting results in about 20 weeks, Fastbraces® are a fast, safe and versatile solution for many patients’ issues.

Fastbraces® treat a variety of dental problems
  • Crowding: If there is not enough room for all your teeth to come in properly, the lack of space between teeth can lead to the development of bacteria, plaque and food debris, which can cause decay and gum disease.
  • High canines: Overcrowded teeth can cause the canines to be positioned higher in the mouth than they should be, resulting in inflammation and discomfort.
  • Overbite: Typically the result of genetics, this is when the upper row of teeth extends beyond the lower row.
  • Crossbite: If both the upper and lower jaws are misaligned, some upper teeth may overlap with lower teeth and vice-versa. This can cause the teeth to wear down, and can also lead to bone and gum tissue loss.
  • Open bite: This means the upper and lower teeth don’t touch, either due to genetics or habits like thumb- and pacifier-sucking.
  • Improper spacing:

Fastbraces® treatments target the roots of your teeth right away

It all starts with a custom treatment plan created with the help of X-rays for Houston patients by Dr. Lawrence.

Fastbraces® work differently than traditional braces by allowing for the movement of the roots of teeth toward their final positions from the very beginning of treatment. Traditional braces, on the other hand, typically focus on moving the crown of the tooth in the first year, and the root of the tooth in the second year.

The difference is that traditional braces are square-shaped, while Fastbraces® are triangular. Triangular braces can be spaced farther apart, allowing force to be applied to the roots and crowns of teeth simultaneously.

With Fastbraces®, you have the option of standard metal brackets and ceramic brackets that match the color of your teeth for a more discreet treatment.

The advantages are clear — proven results in a few weeks or months, rather than two years.

After Fastbraces® are applied to your teeth, Dr. Lawrence will provide you with instructions for maintaining proper hygiene to help preserve your oral health and maximize the effectiveness of your Fastbraces® treatment.
